Turks and Caicos
On the Edge
by Celeste Moure
You may have taken a dip in an infinity pool, but when was the last time you ordered a drink at an infinity bar? Recently unveiled at Grace Bay Club in the Turks and Caicos Islands, the Infiniti Bar stretches from a palapa-covered lounge to the Caribbean shore. Constructed of black marble to create the illusion that the entire structure floats above the sand and extends indefinitely into the azure sea, the 90-foot bar is the longest in the Caribbean.
The exotic cocktail menu is just as extensive; it offers traditional island beverages as well as a selection of drinks created by mixologists from around the globe. Pull up a chair and order a Yellow Bird, a sweet-and-sour concoction of banana liqueur, apricot brandy, rum, simple syrup, and orange and lemon juices.
